PB-1509 (PADDY) is seed of Pusa Basmati 1509, a paddy variety released by ICAR-IARI, New Delhi in 2013.
Key Features
- Early-maturing Basmati: about 120 days, 25–30 days earlier than older Basmati varieties
- Needs fewer irrigations than longer-duration Basmati
- Average yield about 42 q/ha; 42–65 q/ha in demonstrations
