Chlozen

Chlozen is an insecticide containing Chlorpyriphos 50% + Cypermethrin 5% EC. A combination insecticide pairing an organophosphate with a pyrethroid, giving both the broad residual contact/stomach/fumigant action of chlorpyriphos and the fast knockdown of cypermethrin against chewing and sucking pests in cotton and paddy.

• Mode of action:
  • Chlorpyriphos: organophosphate, inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE) causing continuous nerve stimulation (IRAC Group 1B)
  • Cypermethrin: pyrethroid, modulates voltage-gated sodium channels in nerve axons causing paralysis (IRAC Group 3A)

• Dosage: Cotton: about 400 ml/acre
• Application method: Foliar spray

Safety & Precautions

• Chlorpyriphos is highly toxic to fish and other aquatic life - avoid contaminating water bodies.
• Both actives are toxic to bees - do not spray during flowering or active bee foraging.
• Read the label and leaflet carefully before use, and follow the crop, dose and timing given there.
• Wear protective clothing, gloves, face mask and goggles while handling, mixing and applying.
• Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew while handling. Wash hands, face and exposed skin with soap and water after use.
• Do not spray against the wind or in strong wind. Avoid drift onto people, animals, other crops and water sources.
• Do not contaminate ponds, wells, canals or other water sources with the product, its washings or empty containers.
• Keep out of reach of children and animals. Store in the original, tightly closed container in a cool, dry, locked place, away from food, feed and fertilizers.
• Do not reuse empty containers. Dispose of them safely as directed on the label.
• Observe the waiting period between the last application and harvest stated on the label.
• In case of poisoning or suspected poisoning, stop work, move to fresh air, get medical help immediately and show the label or leaflet to the doctor.
